Fitness Instructors work in employment within leisure centres and gyms giving instruction to members on how to do exercises correctly.  Instructors usually work between 30 and 37 hours per week and can earn up to 20% above the average working wage.  


Fitness Instructors are not qualified or insured to undertake 1-2-1  Personal Sessions” with individual clients for a fee. To do this you must become a qualified Personal Trainer.


Personal Trainers or PT’s as they are known, are high income earners with an often glamorous lifestyle to match!  Self-employed income ranges from an average £25,000 per year up to as high as £80,000 per year for top established trainers with exclusive clients.

Becoming a Personal Trainer is seen as the right move to make for people wanting financial independence and a higher income. The WABBA Diploma in Personal Training is achieved by completing both the WABBA Instructor Course (Diploma part 1) and the WABBA Senior Instructor Course (Diploma part 2).

The WABBA Diploma in Personal Training include City & Guilds / Reps Certification if not already held and can be completed within 4 months or less, depending on how soon you want to attend the Practical Skills Seminars and qualify.
