City & Guilds NVQ Level 2 for Fitness
NVQs are available at different levels, so whatever your previous training & qualification background, there will be a starting point for you
NVQ Level 2 in fitness is the entry level National Standard for Fitness Industry Personnel. It enables them to prove their competence in Planning, Delivering & Evaluating fitness programmes and fitness assessments.
To gain this qualification in National Standards you will have to complete the following Units of Competence.
Proving you know how to do the following: -
- C35 Deal with accidents & emergencies
- D410 Plan & Prepare a Gym based exercise session
- D411 Instructing a Gym based exercise session
- D416 Evaluate a Gym based coaching session
- D417 Support the participants through their fitness goals

Each of the above 5 Units of Competence can be achieved comfortably with the guidance of our NVQ Assessors.
You will achieve a National Standard of Competence in accordance with government guidelines for fitness instruction.
This will lead to inclusion on the National Fitness Register.
